Fata Morgana is an exceptional work of art by Pierre Alechinsky, made with a unique double printing technique. The circle in the middle is an etching, while the colors on the outside are applied by lithography. Alechinsky, known for his virtuosity as a printmaker, sometimes mixed the colors directly on the litho stones, resulting in beautiful color gradations within the work. The Fata Morgana series is a wonderful example of his masterful technique. The work is signed and numbered in an edition of 99 copies. It is carefully framed in a white frame with anti-reflective, UV-resistant glass, which enhances the durability and presentation of the artwork.
