"As an artist I am preoccupied with what's human, not with pure form and theoretical construction possibilities." Eddie says. "I'm looking for a way to design the human body in a new kind of form in which the human in all its vulnerability comes forward. I'm an observer of man in its dialog with its history, its psyche and the religious aspects of life. How is the present human coping with finity, restrictions, imperfection and boundaries; but also with knowledge and genius? Through this humanizing my art became less abstract and at the same time certain references are made to the human power and inability. This makes my sculptures understandable for those who have an open mind towards the things that concern all of us. I look at the human in whole where human emotions are central to my attention."
