VERSTOCKT Mark (1930)
Mark Verstockt was born at Lokeren, he lives and works in Antwerp. He studied at the Royal Fine Art Academy and Institut of Antwerp. After his studies, his art evolved quickly to a geometry born of a desired process of purification, allowing the elimination of any superfluity. His goal was always to approch art as much as possible to the society, to place it in the public middle of the everyday life. In 1955, he received the price of the Province of Antwerp for the totality of his work which signed the beginning of an international recognition. |
