ALECHINSKY Pierre (1927)

Pierre Alechinsky is a Belgian Cobra-painter born in Brussels, he did his studies at the Superior school of Architecture and Decorative Arts in Brussels. Alechinsky combines several techniques in his work. In this way he combines water colour and sketch. His work became more exciting in the second half of the years 50. He put his paint also thicker on the canvas. His canvas became covered with masses paint in green, blue, white and grey tints. So his works reaches a larger freedom in the years 50 (as well in form as in color) and there also appeared fable being in its works.
